Oregonians Amazon review of American Indian Mafia by the Trimbachs falls flat on its face!

Cheryl Caragan says:
Wow, what is this guy smoking? I read this book and several others on the same topic. This one-sided rant tells me more about Oregonian, "enthralled" in his "ideology" than it does about the FBI's Agent Trimbach. True, the book comes at it from a law enforcement view, but "O" attacks this with vengeance, as if the book should have been more understanding of rapists and murderers when they happen to be Indians, or in O's case, hypocritical leftists. Why do the O's of the world splatter with pompous political views they accuse everyone else of having?

To make sure we appreciate his deep understanding, O levels several charges which are simply false. Among the fibs, O's claim that Trimbach's book says J. Edgar Hoover didn't know about COINTELPRO, a program Hoover obviously oversaw until he put an end to it. O is so anti-FBI he can't see straight, and this obviously pervades the rest of his hateful diatribe. Trimbach does not appear to have a problem with honest judges, but evidently O does (considers them "right-wing"), since he accuses Trimbach of being too hard on the dishonest and corrupt ones, judges who, according to O, simply "disagreed" with the FBI. Federal Judge Nichol, outed by this book, secretly invited criminal defendant Dennis Banks to his home before the Wounded Knee trial, the case Nichol presided over. Banks shared tea and crumpets with Mrs. Nichol whom he made an honorary member of AIM. No problem, eh O?

And just like the pajama-clad dumplings alluded to in the book, O second-guesses Agent Trimbach's decisions at Wounded Knee. I'm so sick of these yahoos, always piously critical of other's life and death decisions. Trimbach's plan of ending the standoff would have been "horrible," as if the complete destruction of the village, hundreds of Indians left homeless, and secret rapes and murders by the AIM leaders were somehow preferable. If O had actually read American Indian Mafia, he might have noted that more people were killed, i.e., murdered, not to mention interrogated, tortured, raped, beat up, etc., by AIM thugs than died (2) as the result of massive long-range gunfire instigated by militants during a dragged-out, 3-month village occupation. O must be okay with covering up the Wounded Knee murder of civil rights activist Ray Robinson, to use his logic, if it somehow reflects poorly on the FBI or furthered the militant AIM agenda. Guess that makes O a racist. He should be happy: the government spent most of their time appeasing the butcher of Wounded Knee, Dennis Banks, just as O favored. And if one actually reads the latter chapters, Trimbach presents a good argument that this was the reason the village was destroyed, lives were lost and ruined, and a whole contaminated history was born.

And about the claim that the trial of Leonard Peltier is barely mentioned? Utter BS. Trimbach spends more ink exposing Peltier, by thoroughly analyzing the legal case against him, than any other book I've read about Peltier, and there have been many (bad) ones. Trimbach begins with the trial and finishes by demolishing all the bogus arguments meant to exonerate this guilty killer. And he does this by highlighting major parts of Peltier's trial, other trials, appeals, and the propaganda O evidently has no problem defending. What is O inhaling if not his own caustic vapors? Look in the mirror, pal: "...lying scum-bag... willing to do anything, or say anything to win [his] ideological battles..." And he says Trimbach uses "distasteful" language? Biting sarcasm, yes, tame when dealing with rapists and murderers, nothing like what O hurls. Like when O implicates the FBI in the 1975 murder of AIM member Anna Mae Aquash. Doesn't O know that Anna Mae's executioners, both AIM members, were convicted of murder and that their leader, Dennis Banks, likely made the final decision to end her life? And according to Trimbach, AIM thugs still intimidate those who might testify against them. Like the book says of other self-anointed historians, no need to let the facts get in the way.

Trimbach's book is a good read partly because it reminds us of the cost of freedom and justice, ideals ridiculed by his detractors. One may not like the tone or style of his book, but it's a damn sight better than its critics' tantrums. Mafia fillets the same type of politically motivated vitriol O trumpets out like a foghorn. Trimbach thus explains how and why AIM's legacy has been so terribly falsified. Without realizing it, Oregonian proves Trimbach's point and unwittingly supports his well-constructed arguments. As the FBI's Trimbach contends, truth wins out in the fullness of time, most often by exposing the liars.

Oregonian says:
I have two suggestions for you, Cheryl; Number one: find a person you can trust, someone with good reading compression skills, and have them explain my review to you. Based on what you have written, you don't have a clue about what my review is saying. If you did, you would realize that the points you are trying to make are not valid. Nor do you seem to understand the book in question, or its subject.

Number two: seek medical help for your internalized rage. I would suggest getting medication first, then a follow up with long term counseling: at least until you can gain some measure of control over yourself. Trolling the net, looking for people to rage/flame at, is not healthy for you. Get some help with your anger issues, and you won't be so prone to self-projecting your issues onto other people. Good Luck!

Oregonian,
You & your Amazon review of American Indian Mafia & the Trimbachs needs a tune-up & a history lesson, as well as your narcisstic response to Cheryl Carrigans comment on your book review....
I would suggest getting yourself educated to the fact the American Indian Movement, whom your review supports & makes into heros & role models, fact is AIMsters are nothing more than frauds, domestic terrorists, murderers, liars, thieves, rapists, pedofiles whom will shortly will be joining Peltier in prison for their roles in the murder of Anna Mae, take it from a victim of AIM, you havent a sniff about what you think you know.... so the next time you want to give a review or your opinion, think before opening your mouth.
You just showed how little you do know, & you have gloriously shown that to the world!
If anyone needs to be medicated, its you Buddy Boy...come to momma, I will educate you, & you wont be spewing the retoric to me you have to my very good, well educated lifelong friend, Cheryl Carrigan...
Yeah, I know...when a woman disagrees with a man, she has to have mental issues, needs medication, be angry, or is menopausal, what is your excuse Oregonian, eh...just stupid!

Martha Bad Warrior & what Cannunpa she is holding on her lap on Aug. 1936!

Martha Bad Warrior & what Cannunpa she is holding in her lap!

I see all the Arvol Looking Horse backers, followers & believers have the info about only the men carrying on the linage, that has only been the mindset since the American Indian Movement came on the scene & removed the women fromtheir rightful place in our Matriarchial society.
On HakiktaWins Twicpic page, it clearly shows old man (Red Hair) Elk Head holding a Cannunpa while wearing a crucifix around his neck, the very reason Martha took it upon herself to take possession of the Calf Pipe(s), both the Catlinite & the Buffalo Legbone Cannunpa White Buffalo Calf Pipe Woman brought to the Lakota in approx. 1550.
The photo of Martha, taken by Wilbur Riegert in Aug. 1936 only months before her death in Oct. 1936, Martha has on her lap the Seven Council Fires Cannunpa, not the Calf Pipe! I have verifying info to support this in photographs from a private collection received the fall of 2009.
All of my info on my website http://www.lookingbackwoman.ca/ does not have all of the most verified info on it, because of the time element, & the fact more info becomes available all the time to support what I have been saying since coming forward Feb 2006.
I have my Twitter HakiktaWin account, Twicpic, WordPress, FaceBook, LinkedIn for the most current info available on the Pte Hincala Cannunpa Kin. What the opposition has is what the academics wrote, which has been inaccurate, since they chose to overlook Wilbur A Riegerts books I am a Sioux Indian & Quest for the Pipe of the Sioux, As Viewed From Wounded Knee, which gives the most accurate account of the discription, origin, linage, & ceremonial use of the  Pte Hincala Cannunpa Kin there is available.
For many years the academics believed the Seven Council Fires Council Cannunpa was the Calf Pipe, & wrongly so. The Seven Council Fires Council Cannunpa represents our Tetuwan Governmental Cannunpa (Pipe), & the Pte Hincala Cannunpa Kin (Calf Pipe) is our Spirituality core values & Lifeways Cannunpa (Pipe). Two very differenct Cannunpas, with two separate purposes.
The Seven Council Fires Council Cannunpas shape represents our two most Sacred areas, the Black Hills, Paha Sapa, & Turtle Mountain in Manitoba…the two humps on the Seven Council Fires Cannunpa represents these two geological areas of Spiritual importance to the Tetuwan Nations of the Dakota-Lakota-Nakota peoples.
Nothing is more real than the woman’s superiority.
It is they who really maintain the tribe, the nobility of blood, the geological tree, the order of generations and conservation of families.
In them resides all the real authority: the lands, the fields and all their harvest belong to them; they are the soul of the councils, the arbiters of peace and war, they hold all the taxes and public treasure; it is to them that the slaves are entrusted;
they arrange the marriages; the children are under their authority; and the order of succession is founded on THEIR blood….
The Council of Elders which transacts all the business does not work for itself.
It seems that they serve only to represent and aid the women in the matters in which decorum does not permit the latter to appear or act….
The women choose their chiefs among their maternal brothers or their own children.
Quote

Customs of the American Indians
compared with the Customs of Primitive Times (1724)
So, the information from the opposition is not correct… that only the men would be responsible for carrying & caretaking the Pte Hincala Cannunpa Kin.
Before the American Indian Movement came into our lives in the late 1960s-early 1970s, & the wasciu brought the concept of a patriarchial society, the women were the sole arbitrators of our people, ceremonies, Chiefs, spirituality & lifeways.

The Fraudster of the Republic of Lakotah...Not even Lakota at all!

Fraudster of Republic of Lakotah…Blusters Last Stand!

American Indian Religious Freedom in Theory and Practice
By Russell Means July 1, 2011
The late Seneca scholar and philosopher John Mohawk said: “In order to be free, you must act free.” Mohawk was a contemporary of mine, and he knew the struggle for freedom for indigenous peoples is not theoretical, it is real; it is also difficult, constant and requires remembering where we, as American Indians, come from.
I was reminded of John two weeks ago when a number of people and I put up and participated in the Lakota’s most sacred ceremony, the Sun Dance in the sacred Black Hills in occupied Lakota territory. For thirty-three years, we have put up our ceremony where it is supposed to be held, in the He Sapa. This year was different though, and that’s why I thought of John. This year, the National Park Service tried to impose unacceptable restrictions on how we were going to gather, meet, and support the ceremony where we hold it, in what the invaders now call Wind Cave National Park.
When we arrived at the site, we were met by over a dozen armed federal rangers, including what appeared to be SWAT team members. They had roped off the area with yellow rope and bright orange snow fence. It immediately felt like we were being imprisoned for our ceremony, but we did not put up with these arbitrary restrictions. We were required to respond to the U.S. officials as if we were free, and we did. We successfully put up our camp and held our five-day ceremony. Most Indian people who are under fifty years of age cannot recall a time when our indigenous sacred ceremonies were illegal, but I can.
Let me repeat, our ceremonies were illegal—people went to jail for dancing the Sun Dance, for constructing and using the purification lodge, for practicing the Peyote Way, and for many other of our traditional ways. I personally remember when the government would send a doctor to supervise the piercing of the flesh; if the ceremony did not meet with their approval, they would cancel the ceremony! It was because of these racist restrictions on our spirituality that the American Indian Movement and others actively challenged the U.S. policies—resulting in the passage of the American Indian Religious Freedom Act (AIRFA).
We knew, however, that AIRFA meant nothing if we did not exercise our rights, and if we did not force U.S. officials to respect our natural rights to spiritual freedom. Unfortunately, the passage of AIRFA was a hollow victory. Of the first twelve cases brought by Indians, we lost all twelve cases. The U.S. Supreme Court said AIRFA was primarily a policy statement, with no provision for legal enforcement in the courts. AIRFA was amended in 1994, with stronger requirements for U.S. officials to respect indigenous ceremonies on what the U.S. says are federal lands, with a right for Indians to sue in federal courts for violation of our access and use of sacred sites.
Specifically, the amendments state that “no Federal lands … may be managed in a manner that undermines and frustrates a traditional Native American religion or religious practices.” Two weeks ago, we had to remind the National Park Service (NPS) that we have been engaging in our ceremonies long before there was a NPS. When the NPS said that we were subject to the restrictions of the Archeological Resources Protection Act, we reminded them that we, and our ceremonies, are part of the living archeology of the region.
At one point, while the ceremony was in progress, the rangers entered the camp and began to give orders about how the camp was to be organized. I challenged them to arrest us. We were willing and able to assert our natural rights, our treaty rights, and our statutory rights before a federal judge. The rangers withdrew and did not bother us for the remainder of the ceremony. In order to be free, we must act free—and we must be willing to risk the costs of doing so. At the same time that we were asserting our rights at Wind Cave, a gang of thugs, known as the U.S. Supreme Court, was handing down its recent decision in U.S. v. Jicarilla Apache Nation.
The main part of the opinion was bad enough, saying that the U.S. could engage in conflict of interest in administering Indian trust assets, and the U.S. does not have to disclose its bad acts. The more revealing part of the opinion, and a position that is directly related to how the National Park Service was treating us at Wind Cave, was that “The trust obligations of the United States to the Indian tribes are established and governed by statute rather than the common law, and in fulfilling its statutory duties, the [United States]Government acts not as a private trustee but pursuant to its sovereign interest in the execution of federal law.” Every Indian person should understand the meaning of this last sentence.
Some Indian tribal government officials and Indian law attorneys relate to U.S. government officials and courts as though the “trust relationship” will serve as a kind of shield against injustice. This is pure delusion. The Supreme Court has now made it crystal clear that the so-called trust relationship is a sham, and that the highest and primary interest of the U.S. is to protect its own sovereign interests, and not those of indigenous peoples. It has also made clear that the fabrication of federal Indian law by the U.S.
Congress and the U.S. courts is the tool and the vehicle to protect those U.S. interests. The only remedy for this latest expression of anti-Indian racism is for all Indian people to “act free, in order to be free. Russell Means, Oglala/Iynktowan, is Chief Facilitator, Republic of Lakotah (republicoflakotah.com), and author of the autobiography Where White Men Fear to Tread.
Means is not Lakota as he states here, he is Crow, White, & Dakota, which negates his self-proclaimed Republic of Lakotah, period. He cannot represent the Lakota people in such a self-serving way as he has done for the last 40 years without any Lakota protocols being met or recognized by Means.

Nothing humble or real about this fraudster-AIMster, Blusters Last Stand!

Russell Means
Russell Means has lived a life like few others in this century – revered for his selfless accomplishments and remarkable bravery. He was born into a society and guided by a way of life that gently denies the self in order to promote the survival and betterment of family and community. His culture is driven by tradition, which at once links the past to the present. The L.A. Times has called him the most famous American Indian since Sitting Bull and Crazy Horse. His indomitable sense of pride and leadership has become embedded in our national character.
Today, his path has brought him to Hollywood, thus enabling him to use different means to communicate his vital truths. Through the power of media, his vision is to create peaceful and positive images celebrating the magic and mystery of his American Indian heritage. In contemplating the fundamental issues about the world in which we live, he is committed to educating all people about our most crucial battle-the preservation on the earth. Thirty years ago, reflecting the consciousness of the sixties, he captured national attention when he led the 71-day armed takeover on the sacred grounds of Wounded Knee, a tiny hamlet in the heart of South Dakota’s Pine Ridge Reservation. Means joined “The Longest Walk” in 1978 to protest a new tide of anti-Indian legislation including the forced sterilization of Indian women. Following the walk, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a resolution saying that national policy was to protect the rights of Indians, “to believe, express and exercise their traditional religions, including but not limited to access to sites, use and possession of sacred objects, and the freedom to worship through ceremonials and traditional rites.”
Today, with the same passionate determination, he has directed his energy towards the entertainment industry. In a record period of time, this famed political activist and early leader of the American Indian Movement (AIM) has become immersed in all five corners of the business, with projects including: Lead roles in major feature films, (The Last of the Mohican’s, Oliver Stone’s Natural Born Killers, as a chief in John Candy’s comedy Wagons East and as the ghost of Jim Thorpe in Wind Runner); Disney’s third highest ever selling video (Pocahontas) in which he was the voice of Pocahontas’ father, a television documentary for HBO (Paha Sapa), (Indian Father and Son) a pilot he created; Two albums of protest music with lyrics he wrote (Electric Warrior and The Radical). On the technological side, he stars in a CD-ROM (Under A Killing Moon) and has created his own website www.russellmeans.com . The website features information regarding the A.I.M. club, his recordings via the American Indian Music Company, his art, book, current events, biography and upcoming appearances and direct e-mail to Russell.
Born on South Dakota’s Pine Ridge Reservation in 1939, Russell Means is the eldest son of Hank Means, an Oglala Sioux, and Theodora (Feather) Means, a full-blooded Yankton Sioux. Shortly after the outbreak of WWII, his family moved to California, where he graduated from San Leandro High in 1958 and continued his formal education at Oakland City College and Arizona State. Russell’s commitment to uplift the plight of his people escalated when he served as director of Cleveland’s American Indian Center. It was there he met Dennis Banks, co-founder of the American Indian Movement, and embarked upon a relationship that would rocket them both into national prominence. During this period, Russell staged numerous events designed to bring dignity to the American Indian. His most famous act of defiance, however, occurred at Wounded Knee on February 27, 1973. Responding to the numerous murders perpetrated by puppet tribal governments and the extreme conditions of oppression, the takeover at Wounded Knee revisited the sight of the American Indian massacre at the hands of U.S. soldiers in 1890. Ever vigilant for his cause, Russell has been lauded by the international community for his tireless efforts.
Russell splits his time between San Jose, NM, his ranch on the Pine Ridge Sioux Indian reservation, Porcupine, SD and his office in Santa Monica, CA. He takes pride in having instituted programs for the betterment of his people: notable, the Porcupine Health Clinic (the only non government funded clinic in Indian Country) and KILI radio, the first Indian owned radio station. Today, one of his principle goals is the establishment of a “Total Immersion School”, which is based on a concept created by the Maori people of New Zealand, where children are immersed in the language, culture, science, music and storytelling of their own people. Russell will adapt this total immersion concept to the Indian way of life and philosophy which is taught from a perspective that will nurture a new generation of proud children educated in the context of their own heritage. Russell Means has devoted his life to eliminating racism of any kind, and in so doing he leaves a historical imprint as the most revolutionary Indian leader of the late twentieth century.
An inspirational visionary, Russell Means remains one of the most magnetic voices in America today. Whether leading a protest, fighting for constitutional rights, starring in a motion picture, or performing his “rap-ajo” music, the message he delivers is consistent with the philosophy he lives by, which states: The Universe, which controls all life, has a female and male balance that prevalent throughout our Sacred Grandmother, the Earth. This balance has to be acknowledged and become the determining factor in all of one’s decisions, be they spiritual, social, healthful, educational or economical. Once the balance has become an integral part of one’s life, all planning, research, direct action and follow-up becomes a matter of course. The goals that were targeted become a reality on a consistent basis. Good things happen to good People; remember time is on your side.
Mitaku Oyasin (we are all related) Russell Means 1997
Biography of Russell Means:
Born on the Pine Ridge Indian reservation in 1939, Russell Means has dedicated his life to American Indian activism and constitutional rights for over three decades. He is widely regarded as the most influential Indian activist and political leader of the later part of the twentieth and into the twenty – first century. A few of the many “first” and accomplishments which can be attributed to Russell Means include the following:
Russell Means is also a pedofile…linage Crow, White & Dakota, not Lakota blood at all. Is a womanizer & abuser, rapist, murderer, spin doctor, propagandist, has committed treason, not taken care of his children, has shook down volunteers who were collecting donations for AIM, saying he & Dennis Banks would kill them if they did not turn over all the donation monies.
Means raped a mans 17 year old daughter while Sun Dancing next to him, at Frank Fools Crows arbor in 1972 in the gym of her Catholic Girls school, where she had gotten AIM lodging on the Trail of Broken Treaties. 18 AIM members were in the same area where she was raped, but did nothing to stop him, Means was acting long before he ever reached Hollyweird!
Means was pardoned by Gov. Jalakow, because Means-AIM got rid of the young Lakota girl who was raped by him when he was her guardian, & he was a young attorney, before becoming Govenor of South Dakota… her name was Juanita Little Deer. Whos case for rape against the young attorney was nearing, she was hit by a car along side of the road & said to be drunk. The pardon was so Means could write his book, Where Whitemen Fear to Tread…there isnt any Lakota total immersion school, & the rest of his bio is more lies & propaganda to hide his deviant behavior. Has been in rehab numerous times for abusing women & himself…
This man should be in prison, but when youve got the goods on the Gov, Senator & Senators son of South Dakota…that just isnt going to happen just yet…

Further Indictments for American Indian Movement Voiced

Interest In Further American Indian Movement Hiarchy & Members Indictments For Murder Voiced

Thank-you Indian Country Today for the ability to share this vital information to the unknowing public about the exploits of the American Indian Movement.
Annie Mae Pictou AquashArticles related to Aquash murder case 2007-2011
Vermillion, South Dakota (AP/ICC) 10-07
Madonna Thunder Hawk, a veteran leader of major events during the Red Power movement in the 1970s, is scheduled to speak at the University of South Dakota on Oct. 18.
Known as Madonna Gilbert in the ‘70s, she remains an activist and organizer with experience in American Indian rights protection, cultural preservation, economic development, environmental justice and Lakota treaty rights advocacy, USD said in a release.
Thunder Hawk has also emerged in recent years as one of many persons of interest to federal investigators looking into the 1975 execution style slaying of Canadian Micmac Annie Mae Pictou-Aquash by members of the American Indian Movement.Thunder Hawk was allegedly part of the team of AIM members who interrogated Aquash in Rapid City, South Dakota hours before her death. AIM leaders Vernon and Clyde Bellecourt, and Dennis Banks came to believe Aquash was working for the FBI in some capacity according to court witness testimony and had Leonard Peltier interrogate her at gunpoint in June of 1975.
ThunderHawk is first cousin of AIM leader Russell Means, who is related to no fewer than eight mid level AIM members who are part of the federal conspiracy investigation, including twin brothers Ted and William (Kills) Means and their aunt Theda Nelson-Clark.
In addition, Thunder Hawk also oversaw the AIM clinic at Wounded Knee South Dakota during the AIM occupation of the village in 1973.
There a wounded black activist and disciple of Martin Luther King, Perry Ray Robinson Jr., was brought after he was shot in the knee by AIM security members around April 25, 1973 for refusing to participate in a firefight with federal authorities, disrespecting Leonard Crow Dog and being accused of working as an FBI spy according to AIM members who were in Wounded Knee at the time or are familiar with the investigation.
Robinson was alleged to have been brought to the clinic by AIM security overseen by AIM member Carter Camp and seen by several participants and medics at the clinic before allegedly passing away while there. He was later buried by Christ (Chris/Cris) Westerman (according to Dennis Banks) inside AIM Wounded Knee perimeters where his remains have yet to be recovered and repatriated to the family.

The woman directly behind Martha is Lucy, now look at this pi... on Twitpic

This is Lucy Looking Horse not Martha Bad Warrior, look at this pi... on Twitpic

This photo from the Smithsonian is not Martha Bad Warrior, it is Arvol Looking Horses
Grandmother Lucy Looking Horse, who began the lie about the White Buffalo Calf Pipe
in 1936 by taking her Mother Martha Bad Warriors identity, moving into her Mother Martha home,
& beginning to charge to see the White Buffalo Calf Pipe, after Marthas death in Oct 1936.
Read Quest for the Pipe of the Sioux, As Viewed from Wounded Knee by Wilbur A Riegert, curator for
the Wounded Knee Museum during the Seige of Wounded Knee, & allotment agent at Cheyenne River,
who recorded Martha Bad Warriorslast telling of the discription, origin, linage & ceremonial use of the original White Buffalo Calf Pipe.
Wilburs home was taken over by the American Indian Movement during the Seige of Wounded Knee, used
as AIMs security headquarters, where AIM stole Lakota artifacts & destroyed the manuscript for Quest for
the Pipe of the Sioux, As Viewed From Wounded Knee, so AIM could hijack the spiritul legacy of the original
White Buffalo Calf Pipe using Arvol Looking Horse as the supposed 19th Generation White Buffalo Calf Pipe Keeper
fraudulently for AIM & ALHs personal enrichment as agents for the government to control the Sacred Lifeways,
Teachings & Cannunpa Wakan of the Tetuwan Nations.
AIM murdered Anna Mae Aquash, Buddy Lamont & seven other people not found from the Seige of Wounded Knee
AIM felt were threats to their enrichment & takeover of Lakota Sacred Lifeways, Cannunpa & teachings.
The Riegerts & Gillersleeves were Chippewa, as Dennis Banks is...there was nothing about self determination for Native
people by the American Indian Movement during the Seige of Wounded Knee, by their supporters, the media or anyone enabling AIM.
Read on www.lookingbackwoman.ca the blood quantum of AIM leadership & members, AIM had not authority to do what they did
for their own personal enrichment at the expense of the Lakota people or the innocent public.
Also read the Wordpress blog on Russell Means ENEMY OF THE US, & the accompanying comment verifying his desire for the US
demise as a domestic urban terrorist, who is not even Lakota, who has said he has seceded the Lakota territory from the US without a
drop of blood of Lakota in his veins...fraud, fraud, pedofile, fraud!!!
Know who you support Hollyweird, International Communities, media & academia...there is only two sides to this issue of the hoax & frauds
of the American Indian Movement & Arvol Looking Horse...the Good Red Road of the original White Buffalo Calf Cannunpa (Pipe) or the Black-
Blue Road of despair & destruction, there is no middle ground, only the truth!

Russell Means, AIM leader, former Disney employee...ENEMY OF AMERICA!!!

Russell Means, former Disney employee...enemy of America!!!

Looking Back Woman-Suzanne Dupree | May 22, 2011 at 10:42 am | Categories: Uncategorized | URL: http://wp.me/p1i8YO-3o

Heard this afternoon, on a video put out by Russell Means that he is making his way to the 10th Session of the Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues, United nations (May 18th- May 27th) in New York to connect with several foreign missions, Russia, Bolivia, Venezuela, Iran, Serbia and a sixth one.
He has evidently picked the nations that most oppose the United States or squarely wish us ill. He will make his case to them as to the legality of his stance to declare the Lakota nation independent from the US , which he declared having seceded from the US A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO.
His declaration made me sick through my stomach. I deeply felt a sense of revulsion for what he is saying and doing: he once told me in 2003 that he would rejoice at the demise of the United States,(which he said should be brought about from within) and when I heard him say that at the time, I lost all feelings of empathy for the man.
Means essentially declared himself an ENEMY of the US.
Is there not anything that can be done to prevent Means from soliciting support from the Russians, the Iranians, and their ilks?
Means does not speak for the Lakota people, and has no mandate to do so, even though Means will go to those foreign UN missions, and pretend to speak for "his Tetuwan people."
Is impersonating an official of an Indian nation not a legal issue?
Could Means not be arrested for what he is doing, i.e. soliciting alliances with FOREIGN countries to overthrow the government of the US over part of its territory, as citizen of the US ?
We who know Means, who he is & his blood quantum & tribal affiliations think the man is vile....& want these questions posed here answered by Obama & law enforcement immediately!!
"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""
Thank-you to the person who posed this issue, & for it being sent to me for discussion on this forum-blog...
Russell Means is NOT even a Lakota, though he has said he is since AIM began its reign of terror against Native people in North America, despite their propaganda stating otherwise.
AIM, its leaders, supporters, & enabling public & International Communities, liberals, media, academia & Hollyweird need to be accountable for their involvement-enablement in this hoax, false representation, & fraud of Arvol Looking Horse & the American Indian Movement, making them into heros, role models & political prisoners, when they are nothing more than a group of domestic, urban terrorists... who should be treated as Bin Laden recently was...a threat to the American way of Life & its safety of its citizens.

Going Back Home As A Child to Cheyenne River....

One of my first memories of going home to Cheyenne River-Eagle Butte, South Dakota was pulling up at my Fathers Mothers home, Grandmother Fielders house, and asking, Who lives in this shack, and my Father replied...Your Grandmother!
As a 3 year old child, we say what we think, respond to what we see...that is the beauty of a child, their innocence to situations outside their understanding.
My Father, Calvin Dupree, Tetuwan Minneconjou Lakota, later in his life, Professor of Native Studies at the U of Lethbridge, in Lethbridge, Alberta, spent most of our 1958 South Dakota Dupree family vacation with his hand firmly placed over my mouth to keep me from blurting out the obvious, the dire situation my Lakota people still live in to this day, 53 years after my first visit to our Cheyenne River Reservation.
I had, as this 3 year old child, no understanding of what it was to live with burned out cars, garbage everywhere, lawlessness, drunkardness, sexual & physical abuse, lack of education, poor access & quality of food, a lack of industry, the complete & utter despair that most of my fellow Lakota children experience daily.
Though there are a few exceptions, they are however today very, very few & far between within the confines of reservation life & their 3rd World existance.
There is also the stigma then & today of being an outsider among your own Lakota people, a half-breed, not a full-blood Lakota, if your Lakota family had the chance & desire to get away from all the abuses, & have a better life for you, than what they had with Rez school experiences of molestations & punishments by the church employees, the teachers, Fathers & Sisters, who were given the task of defeathering the Indian in you, your parents, and their parents before you.
To assemulate all of you & your Lakota brothers & sisters into American Society, with their (lack) morals & values, everything so very much different than your own way of being.
Your Sacred Tetuwan Lakota language was forbidden, if you were caught retaining it & speaking it, you were severly punished, along with any Lakota faith you had, or were taught by your Lakota Spiritual Elders or Grandparents.
I took all the good from my Tetuwan people, and left behind all the bad.
The Lakota people who follow the black road of AIM today, who say my own Tetuwan people do not recognize me as one of their own, do not.... because it does not serve them to do so, from their false teachings they were taught by their false leaders of AIM, who took over our Tetuwan Nation, culture & spirituality, when we Tetuwans still had honor & dignity of our Ancestors & Elders, basically before AIM came into our lives.
All the corruption & lies our Tetuwan people tell & do today, is nothing like the true Tetuwans I remember & were mentored by, like Frank Fools Crow, John Fire Lame Deer, my Uncle Chauncey Dupris, Phil Lane Sr and Beatrice Medicine, Katy Fools Crow & Grandmother Fielder.
Grandmother Fielder, who lived in the house that I thought was a shack, when I first saw it as a three year old, & spoke of what I saw.
It did not matter what they lived in, how much money they had, what they drove, it was who they were & what they represented, their truth & honor, nothing like we are left with as Tetuwan Lakota people today.
I promised I would honor the memory, values, & teachings of these good true Tetuwan people, & this I will continue to do...
They were who we really are, not as who we are represented as today by Academia, AIM, or Arvol Looking Horse, the corrupt Tribal elected, none of these people are who we were, when we were chosen to carry the gift of the Cannunpa Wakan by Creator & his daughter, Whope, who became White Buffalo Calf Pipe Woman with her time on Mother Earth, & with us as a people.
I pray everyday with the Cannunpa Wakan she taught the Chiefs to make, that somehow we again find as a Nation of People, our way back onto the Good Red Road.

Museum info pertaining to the Calf Pipe gathered & assemb... on Twitpic

Museum info pertaining to the Sacred Calf Pipe gathered & assemb... on Twitpic This South Dakota Museum information was gathered & assembled by John Smith along with Raymond Demallie in tow, when they tried to see & record what ALH, & the relatives of Lucy Looking Horse were stating was the original White Buffalo Calf Pipe fraudulently to the public since Martha Bad Warriors death in 1936, & after Lucy Looking Horses own death in 1966. Wilbur Riegerts first book I am a Sioux Indian was published in 1967 with the correct information on the Sacred Calf Pipe. Riegerts second book, Quest for the Pipe of the Sioux, As Viewed From Wounded Knee was published in 1975, a year & a half after the Seige at Wounded Knee when AIM tried to destroy all this information recorded & kept by Riegert & the Lakota Elders, such as Frank Fools Crow and his Uncle, Nicolas Black Elk, who were passed the Sacred Calf Pipe from Andrew Dupris, after Martha Bad Warrior had passed the Sacred Calf Pipe to Andrew for safekeeping until It could be with passed to the proper Lakota Spiritual Elders to protect It, & Its Legacy from harm or abuse. It is also recorded Martha Bad Warrior hid the Sacred Calf Pipe within her own clothing, close to her body while she was alive, to protect It from being taken from her by her family without her permission. After interviewing Raymond Demallie extensively about the Smiths recorded Museum documentation-information in January 2009, when Demallie came to stay with Looking Back Woman-Suzanne Dupree-HakiktaWin at her home, with his assistant David, on Vancouver Island, (Duncan B.C.) arriving from the U of Indiana & the American Indian Studies Research Institute, Demallie stated even though he & Smith had jumped through all the hoops given them by the Looking Horses, their relatives, Joe Thin Elk & his daughter, Belva Jack, Smith nor Demallie never did get to see what the Looking Horses were representing as the original White Buffalo Calf Pipe, rather Smith & Demallie were given a drawing of the Cannunpa Wakan instead. It is very hard to present to the Lakota people or academics something you do not have, and never have had...ei, Marie Elk Head UTube video info that Arvol never was passed the Sacred Calf Pipe or was chosen to represent the Lakota people as 19th Generation White Buffalo Calf Pipe Keeper, this is fraud & a hoax by AIM & Arvol Looking Horse & his family, & against the will & desire of the Tetuwan Lakota Elders & people of his own Nation. It was during this period of research (late 1960s-early 1970s) on Demallies part, that he chose, he told Looking Back Woman- Suzanne Dupree-HakiktaWin, of his decision to overlook both of Riegerts books, pics & documentation about the White Buffalo Calf Pipe, choosing to believe, though never proven to Demallie by any actual verification or irrefutable proof that the Looking Horse family were the Keepers of the Sacred Calf Pipe, and that Arvol Looking Horse was authenic & actually the 19 Generation White Buffalo Calf Pipe Keeper. Of which Arvol Looking Horse continues to refuse to show any verification now or proof of his fraudulent position as Keeper, to his own Tetuwan Lakota people, that this information is valid or correct, that has been given to the SmithsonianInstitute & to the World.

The Cannunpa held in Old Man Elk Heads arms was given to Look... on Twitpic

The Cannunpa held in Old Man Elk Heads arms was given to Look... on Twitpic Look around Elk Heads neck, it is a cross of Jesus. This is why Martha did not pass the White Buffalo Calf Pipe to someone in Martha Bad Warriors family, why Martha felt her Family was unworthy to carry the White Buffalo Calf Pipe. Everything I state, can be proven. Martha Bad Warrior was murdered by her own family because she refused to pass the White Buffalo Calf Pipe to her to her own family, the Looking Horse family never was passed it, ever!!! Read Quest for the Pipe of the Sioux, As Viewed From Wounded Knee, & read whom Martha did pass the WBCP to. Learn the truth that has been kept from you, and academia refuses to acknowledge!

Woman in behind Martha Bad Warrior with her arms crossed is L... on Twitpic

Woman in behind Martha Bad Warrior with her arms crossed is L... on Twitpic The Smithsonian & Raymond Demallie have some serious apologizing to do to the Tetuwan-Lakota people, the Riegerts, the International Communities & the World, for perpetuating these lies & misconceptions. And, corrections to these lies & misrepresentations at the Smithsonian Institute need to be made academically asap, to stop this fraud-hoax of the century of Arvol Looking Horse & AIM from continuing with Phil Lane Jrs support in Canada currently!!! This false-incorrect information has harmed the Lakota people, the International Communities, and the Wounded Knee towns victims-people, who were held hostage for 77 days while their homes & Wounded Knee Museum was ransacked, their possessions & artifacts stolen by AIM, their children molested, and the unknowing public who came to support who they thought AIM was, (because of the way the media mistakenly represented AIM), who were murdered & their remains never found, need compensation for these crimes of MURDER, RAPE, THEFT, LIES & 40 years of PROPAGANDA within the media, academia, and film protrayals that AIM & ALH are authentic & worthy to represent the Tetuwan people to the World. This is a prime example why actual authenic Tetuwan Spiritual Leaders need to write their own Tetuwan history, instead of relying on academics who just never took the time to get it right, or after they found out the truth, made NO effort to correct it, instead choosing to protect their positions & careers within academia at the expense of the Tetuwan people. The other victims of this fraud-hoax is unknowing public, who donated their hard earned money in the form of donations to support this fraud-hoax since Martha Bad Warrior died in Oct. 1936, at the hands of her own Looking Horse family, because Martha told all assembled in Aug 1936 in front of Wilbur Riegert, who recorded this information for Martha, that NO ONE IN HER FAMILY WAS WORTHY TO CARRY THE WHITE BUFFALO CALF PIPE, BECAUSE MARTHAS FAMILY WAS BECOMING CHRISTIANIZED!!! This truth from Martha Bad Warrior cost her, her life just short of a hundred years of age!!

This woman is Lucy Looking Horse misrepresentated by the Smithsonian as Martha Bad Warrior... on Twitpic

This woman is Lucy Looking Horse misrepresentated by the Smithsonian as Martha Bad Warrior... on Twitpic

This woman is Arvol Looking Horses Grandmother, Lucy Looking Horse, who began the White Buffalo Calf Pipe Fraud by the Looking Horse family & the American Indian Movement, when Lucys relatives, Joe Thin Elk & Belva Jack gave Raymond Demallie a photo that Wilbur Riegert took of Martha Bad Warrior in Aug 1936 with the incorrect provenance accompanying the photo.
This photo Demallie donated to the Smithsonian with the wrong provenance provided by Looking Horses relatives to enable this hoax & fraud of the century!
It was the same photo that Wilbur took & had copyright for, that the Smithsonian sold for the last 40 years with the incorrect information accompanying the photograph that has enabled the Looking Horse fraud-hoax to continue and perpetuate to control Tetuwan spiritual history for the American Indian Movements personal enrichment.
Demallie, in the 1960-1970s decided to overlook Wilbur A. Riegerts books, I am a Sioux Indian (1967), & Quest for the Pipe of the Sioux, As Viewed From Wounded Knee (1975), and by doing so has enabled the greatest historic fraud-hoax to date, that Arvol Looking Horse is the 19th Generation White Buffalo Calf Pipe Keeper, which the Marie Elk Head Fiddler Utube video tells the real truth... that the Cannunpa Wakan, the White Buffalo Calf Pipe, was never passed to the Looking Horse family because they were becoming Christianized. (Quote by Martha Bad Warrior Aug. 1936 to Wilbur Riegert to record for all time).
This information is documented clearly, along with the Dupree familys participation in protecting the Legacy of the White Buffalo Calf Pipe in Quest for the Pipe of the Sioux, As Viewed From Wounded Knee for over a century. Which is in this manuscript that was attempted to be destroyed by the American Indian Movement during the Seige of Wounded Knee in 1973, when they took over Wilbur Riegerts trailer home as AIMs security headquarters.
So AIM could change & control Tetuwan Spiritual History presented to the world, and enable along with Raymond Demallie & the Smithsonian, that Arvol Looking Horse is the 19th Generation WBCP Keeper fraudulently without any truth or provable merit involved in this horrible & damaging to the Tetuwan Lakota people lie!!!

Blood Quantum of American Indian Movement Leaders | Looking Back Woman-Suzanne Dupree blog

Blood Quantum of American Indian Movement Leaders Looking Back Woman-Suzanne Dupree blog

CANADA BEWARE OF THE ARVOL LOOKING HORSE FRAUD WITH PHIL LANE JR!!!

Phil Lane Jr. is Bahai by faith, and has been for at least the last 40 years, Phil Jrs support of Arvol Looking Horse is mute, and his endorsement of Looking Horse means nothing, because being a Traditional Lakota, and the associated values that encompass being a Traditional Lakota was not of interest to Phil Lane Jr, with his preference of being of the Bahai faith, which his Father Phil Lane Senior did not participate in.
If you are not a Traditional Lakota by faith yourself, you havent any right to force feed the public the biggest FRAUD in history about Arvol Looking Horse being a Chief of the Tetuwan Nations, & being the 19th Generation White Buffalo Calf Pipe Keeper, along with the Native American Indian research studies academics who are also involved in this fraud, and did not do the due dilligence in finding out the truth before giving the Smithsonian Wilbur Riegerts copyrighted photos enabling this fraud to perpetuate since Martha Bad Warriors death.
All one has to do is to watch the Marie Elk Head Fiddlers UTube video about Arvol Looking Horse and his Father, Stanleys dillima when in 1972 AIM was looking for the Cannunpa Wakan (Sacred Pipe) that the Looking Horse Family had been lying about having for years, since Oct 1936 to be exact, the Looking Horses took an ordinary Pipe off their homes wall, & said this is It to AIM!!!
In the fall of 1936, Lucy Looking Horse took her Mother, Martha Bad Warrior out onto the prairie at the onset of winter, and left Martha there in a tipi to die, which Martha did die of exposure in Oct 1936, at nearly a hundred years of age.
All the while Lucy Looking Horse moved into her Mother, Martha Bad Warriors nice little home, & took Marthas identity, and began charging to see the Pipe Lucy claimed was the Sacred Pipe.
Only Martha Bad Warrior had forseen what was coming & had already transfered the Cannunpa Wakan (Calf Pipe) to someone she trusted, and knew would make sure the original White Buffalo Calf Pipe was safe & used properly for the good of all mankind.
If it had not been for Wilbur Riegert recording the last telling of the discription, origin, linage and ceremonial use of the White Buffalo Calf Pipe(s), Buffalo Legbone and the Catlinite (Pipestone) Cannunpa Wakans by Martha Bad Warrior in Aug 1936, the truth & all this priceless information would have been lost.
This information is what academia chose to overlook.
READ Quest for the Pipe of the Sioux, As Viewed From Wounded Knee, the truth is there for you to see for yourself!!!
The reason Martha Bad Warrior was left to die by her Family was because Martha stated in Aug 1936 to all the Tetuwans assembled for the occasion, that no one in her Family was WORTHY to carry the White Buffalo Calf Pipe, because Martha Bad Warriors Family was becoming Christianized.
So CANADA…where the next round of speaking engagements by Looking Horse are being given, Phil Lane Jrs support of Arvol Looking Horse as the 19 Generation White Buffalo Calf Pipe Keeper, with Phil Lane Jrs Bahai faith as the faith Phil Lane Jr believes and follows, Phil Jr has no right or standing among the Tetuwan Nations to promote this historic fraud by Looking Horse, or continue to enable Looking Horse after the Lakota Elders from Looking Horses own Lakota Tribe has denounced him, along with the Elk Head-Bad Warriors.

Lies, Damn Lies, and Statistics by Ward Churchill
“Jim Vander Wall and I have used the figure of 69 as the minimum number of AIM members and supporters murdered on the Pine Ridge Reservation from mid-1973 to mid-1976.”–Ward Churchill in From a Native Son. p. 256. 1996.
“[I]n the post-Wounded Knee context of South Dakota’s Pine Ridge Lakota Reservation, independent researcher Candy Hamilton established that at least 342 AIM members and supporters were killed by roving death squads aligned with and supported by the FBI. (The death squads called themselves GOONs, “Guardians of the Oglala Nation.”) This was between 1973 and 1976 alone.—Ward Churchill, 1985 and 1996.
[See Churchill's CV.]
In May 2000, the Minneapolis FBI published a document called “Accounting for Native American Deaths.” I wrote about this document here.
The FBI document stated that unsubstantiated allegations about the FBI had eroded the trust of Indian people:
The Federal Bureau of Investigation and its Agents in South Dakota can only operate effectively where we have the trust and help of the American people. For South Dakota, much of our work revolves around crimes occurring in Indian Country. The trust and help of reservation residents are vital to the accomplishment of our sworn duty.
For many years, rumors of unresolved murders of Native Americans have come to our attention. At times, these allegations represented that there were hundreds of murdered Native Americans that had not been investigated by the FBI. [full text]
After the FBI published this document in May 2000, Ward Churchill [who was finally fired from his professorship at the University of Colorado in Boulder on July 24, 2007, for research misconduct] wrote a rebuttal to the FBI document called Analysis and Refutation of the FBI’s ‘Accounting’ for AIM Fatalities on Pine Ridge, 1973-1976.”
Churchill’s so-called “refutation” claimed:
[T]his [is] by no means “the first time” the FBI has had an opportunity to address the list of names and allegations in question. Along with Jim Vander Wall, I initially assembled it in 1987 from fragmentary records provided by Bruce Ellison, Ken Tilson and Candy Hamilton, all former members of the Woun[d]ed Knee Legal Defense / Offense Committee (WKLDOC). A portion of it was then published in my and Vander Wall’s 1988 Agents of Repression (pp. 184-88), the first six copies of which book were acquired by the FBI library in Washington, DC. Refined and expanded in 1989, the list was then published again in my and Vander Wall’s book The COINTELPRO Papers (pp. 393-4), copies of which were also acquired by the FBI library. The same list was also published as an attachment to an essay included in my 1994 Indians Are Us? (pp. 197-205), and still again in my 1996 From A Native Son (pp. 257-60). It has, moreover, been in continuous distribution by the Leonard Peltier Defense Committee (LPDC) for the past six years. [Until recently, the "Leonard Peltier Defense Committee Statement in Reply to FBI's Accounting of Unsolved Deaths on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation (1973-1976)" was posted here, but strangely there is only a coupon for Petsmart on that site. The Google cache is still available. The red highlighting is mine; see full text]
Ward Churchill is not being very sincere when he claims that he “initially assembled [a list of Indians allegedly murdered by FBI-backed GOONS] in 1987 from fragmentary records,” because in 1985, Ward Churchill published an article in the Covert Action Information Bulletin that claimed that the FBI backed death squads that killed 342 Indians. [See my original treatment of this issue here.] The article was titled “The Covert War Against Native Americans.” This article is listed in Churchill’s CV under a slightly different title:
Special focus section on repression of the American Indian Movement, including two feature pieces (“The Covert War Against American Indians”[pp. 16-21] and “The Strange Case of ’Wild Bill’ Jank-low” [pp. 22-4]) and three sidebars (“Profile of an Informer” [pp. 18-21], “Dennis Banks” [p. 24] and “The FBI at Pine Ridge: 1973-1976” [pp. 26-7, 29]), CovertAction Information Bulletin, No. 24 (July 1985) pp. 16-29. (The late William Kunstler also contributed an article titled “The Ordeal of Leonard Peltier” to the section [pp. 25-9]). [Cited from Ward Churchill's CV.]
Churchill’s 1985 article in the C.A.I.B., which claimed that FBI-backed death squads killed 342 Indians, was even republished in January 1996 as “The Covert War Against Native Americans” by a Canadian publication called Arm the Spirit. It is still on the Internet here and listed in Churchill’s CV:
“The Covert War Against Native Americans,” Arm the Spirit, Jan. 1996.
My point is this: in 1985 Churchill claimed that FBI-backed death-squads killed 342 Indians. In his 1988, 1989, 1994, and 1996 books that Churchill cites as evidence in his refutation to the FBI, Churchill provided much the smaller number of a minimum of 69 murders, a figure in line with his “Analysis and Refutation of the FBI’s ‘Accounting’ for AIM Fatalities on Pine Ridge, 1973-1976.”
For example, in his 1988 book Agents of Repression, Churchill’s list doesn’t have 342 names, and on page 175 Churchill writes:
The GOONs’ anti-AIM activities on Pine Ridge underwent a continuous escalation in scope and virulence through the period of greatest FBI activity on Pine Ridge, roughly mid-1973 to late-1976. During this approximate three-year span, at least sixty-nine AIM members and supporters were to die violently on and around Pine Ridge, while more than 300 were physically assaulted and, in many cases, shot. Virtually all of these murders and assaults are attributed to the GOONs and their counterparts in the BIA police.
In footnote 156, which follows this passage, Churchill claimed:
These data are the compilation of former WKLDOC researcher Candy Hamilton, who performed site investigations at the time of the actual events; Hamilton suggests that her information is “undoubtedly incomplete.” FBI and BIA documents bear out much of the substance of her records. [Agents of Repression p. 426]
In 1996, Churchill published From a Native Son and claimed on page 256 that a minimum of 69 Indians were murdered by FBI-backed GOONS. On page 256 Churchill cited the books he noted in his refutation to the FBI:
In our books Agents of Repression (South End Press, 1988) and The COINTELPRO Papers (South End Press 1990) Jim Vander Wall and I have used the figure of 69 as the minimum number of AIM members and supporters murdered on Pine Ridge Reservation from mid-1973 to mid-1976.
Yet in the very same year that he published From a Native Son (1996), Churchill again let Arm the Spirit republish the fantastic figure of 342 Indians killed by FBI-backed death squads, and listed this article in his CV.
I think that even Churchill’s more modest statistics are fabricated and that the Minneapolis FBI document is an an honest accounting.
In a later post, I will tell what Joseph Trimbach [search my posts that mention Trimbach], the retired FBI agent who authored The American Indian Mafia, says about Churchill’s apocryphal account of the GOONs. The book even has its own site: http://www.americanindianmafia.com/
Thank-you Snapple for having this priceless information on your blog THE LEGEND OF PINE RIDGE!!

Murder and Usurpation of Power by AIM

Murder and Usurpation of Power by AIM

Excerpts fro American Indian Mafia, and courtesty of Snapples 2008 blog on AIMs lies and propaganda.
“[AIM] took complete control of the telephone service and local residents were not permitted to answer any of the phones. When my phone would ring, an armed guard would immediately answer the phone and direct the call over to the trailer house (Wilbur Riegerts home, author of Quest for the Pipe of the Sioux, As Viewed From Wounded Knee) where Banks, Means, and Bellecourt were located…” Agnes Gildersleeve (See Trimbach p. 88)
When the American Indian Movement (AIM) terrorists took over the Indian village of Wounded Knee in February 1973, they robbed Agnes and Clive Gildersleeve’s Trading Post and held them hostage. Agnes was a 68-year-old Chippewa Indian; her husband was white. They had spent most of their lives in Wounded Knee.
The Gildersleeve’s store was looted by AIMsters and some villagers of about 150,000 dollars worth of merchandise, and the elderly couple were kidnapped by the AIM terrorists and held hostage in the basement of a church.
AIM’s mouthpiece Ward Churchill is a discredited former Colorado professor and a white man who masquerades as an Indian. Ward Churchill claims in his book Agents of Repression (1988 p. 143) that the Gildersleeves were white.
Perhaps Ward Churchill thought that people would not listen to the eyewitness account of an elderly Indian grandmother if he claimed she was white.
Read how Churchill describes the terrorist take-over of an American Indian town and then compare his whitewash with Mrs. Gildersleeve’s eyewitness testimony of her ordeal at the hands of the AIMsters.
Ward Churchill, who claims he defends fellow Indians, describes AIM’s reign of terror on the night of February 27, 1973 as if it were a slumber party:
“They [AIM] settled in for the night in a local church and the trading post of Clive and Agnes Gildersleeve (government chartered white traders who had long been accused of ‘ripping off’ reservation Oglalas)” (Joseph H. Trimbach. American Indian Mafia, p. 374. Citing Ward Churchill and Jim Vander Wall’s 2002 edition of Agents of Repression, p. 143).
The former Special Agent in Charge of the Minneapolis FBI, Joseph H. Trimbach, writes that although Ward Churchill claims that the Trading Post was “government chartered,” the AIMsters who destroyed it justified their actions by claiming that the store operated without a government license (375).
In my opinion, the AIMsters just wanted to steal, and since Judge Fred Nichol ruled in his court that most Indian property is nothing but junk of little monetary value, the AIMsters were free to steal from poor Indian people and go unpunished.
According to the statement that Agnes Gildersleeve gave to the FBI on March 8, 1973, AIMsters knocked on their door late at night and said, “You are to consider yourself a political prisoner and hostage” (Trimbach p. 87). The terrorists put guards on her house and moved into her kitchen.
On the third day, the Gildersleeves were taken from their house and held captive in the basement of the church. The day before they were moved to the church, an AIM woman came to the house and told Agnes’ captors, “You have orders to shoot all hostages” (Trimbach p. 87).
While Gildersleeves were held captive in the basement of the church, AIMsters searched their home looking for guns and stole their property. The so-called Indian activists even took Mrs. Gildersleeve’s diamond wedding ring set and Indian jewelry (Trimbach p. 87).

AIMster Russell Means, who would later achieve international reknown as the voice of Powhatan in the Disney cartoon Pocahontas, took over the trailer home of a man confined to a wheelchair named Wilber Reigert. The terrorists pushed Wilber out of his home and made this disabled man’s home the terrorists’ headquarters (Trimbach p. 87).
They rummaged through Wilber Reigert’s documents and stole his Indian antiques. AIMsters stole or or vandalized the people’s art and private property. See here and here.
The elderly Gildersleeves settled down (as Ward Churchill would say) on a church bench all night and awaited their fate. Their captors insulted them and ordered: “If you want to get up you ask us, we will let you know” (Trimbach p. 87).
Agnes was told by one of her captors, “We want [Tribal Chairman] Dickie Wilson out and Russell Means in” (Trimbach p. 87). More about Russell Means here.
When Gildersleeves were let out of the church, they were told they could leave town if they wanted to, although their car had been confiscated on the day that AIM arrived (Trimbach 88).
Later the Gildersleeve’s ruined car was recovered. It was filled with molotov cocktails (Trimbach 263). Judge Fred Nichol dismissed the charge of the theft of the Gildersleeve’s car partly because the elderly Agnes Gildersleeve had not resisted armed terrorists when they demanded her car keys.
Judge Fred Nichol also claimed that their three-year-old car was probably not worth much because cars on Indian reservations tend to be junkers; thus, their car would not be worth much since it was near worthless cars: “Anyone familiar with reservation conditions knows full well that a fairly new car , even if in running condition, might not be worth $100. The jury cannot be permitted to speculate as to an element of a criminal offense. The motion for judgement of aquittal as to Count VIII is granted” (Trimbach 263).
Judge Fred Nichol basically ruled that even if Indians had something nice that it was worthless because it was near worthless property. This meant that criminals could steal or destroy Indian property and not be punished for a serious crime.
I wonder if Judge Fred Nichol would rule like this if Ward Churchill’s truck got ruined on an Indian reservation? Would his truck be valued at less than $100 because it was parked near Indian junkers? Or the corollary: If Ward Churchill drives a junker, I suppose it is deemed to be an expensive junker because he lives among wealthy people.
The elderly Agnes Gildersleeve decided to stay in her home in order to protect her property and was guarded by AIMsters who subjected her to profanity.
The terrorists took away the people’s free speech and their ability to use the telephone to call the outside world for help or to tell their side of the story without coercion. Agnes was interviewed by the media while she was held under the control of her armed captors, so she had to say that she was fine.
When the AIMsters were on trial, their lawyer Mark Lane, claimed that his “right” to speak privately on a party-line phone with his clients had been violated, but Agnes Gildersleeve shows in her statement that the AIM’s hypocritical defense of American Indians’ legal rights is nothing but empty cant:
Heros and role models…NO, NO, NO!!! Hollyweird-Lynne Salt, are you getting the picture yet, you are perpetuating AIM lies and propaganda, endorsing murder, rape, lying and theft…you wasted your money making a movie about these BOYZ!!
