I don't know about Arvol, but I do know of Phil Lane Sr and Jr and what I know about Sr is that he did not have different core beliefs then his son, nor did he disown Jr for going against the teachings. What Baha'i teachings are not in accordance with Tetuwan Nation beliefs. From what I understand, the basic principals are the same. For example, equality of men and women, you need both wings to fly. The priority of being educated in the ways of the people and of following the laws. It is not 'illegal' for a Baha'i to have traditional beliefs. So I don't get this attack on Phil Lane Jr. If it is because he is a Baha'i, then what is the problem? Educate me.

DeleteBeverly, it is one thing to practice and give teachings, it is called "appropriation" when one capitolizes on another's belief system, while at the same instance presenting it as traditional of their own nation. Cultural appropriation and misrepresentation is vial and sick for it produces ill movement.
